Happy Birthday Human

Good Evening Blog World!  I know I haven't posted since March - life has been complicated to say the least.  I have been creating but not sharing.  I made a card today that inspired me too share.

I made this card for my son's brother who turned eleven.  I designed it n my Gypsy since I used three different cartridges.  The alien is from Boys Will Be Boys, cut at 3.75" (he's on foam tape and I used googly eyes instead of the pieces that the Cricut cut out); the planet and moon were cut from Space party at 2.06", and the postage stamp card was cut from Birthday Bash at 5".  I used a stamp from Technique Tuesday's Monster Ink stamp set and heat embossed it with Martha Stewart white embossing powder.  The patterned paper is from Fancy Pants', To the Moon 6X6 paper pad.  I used a mixture of Stampin Up and Recollections Card stock to cut out the images.  I chalked the planet and the moon to give it more dimension and I also put diamond stickles on them as well.  I used my white gel pen to outline the edge of the card base to finish the card off.

I really liked the way this card turned out.  I am entering it in Celebrate The Occasion's, Anything Goes Challenge.

Thanks so much for looking!  I really appreciate those who check in when I do post.

Cricutless Card

Hello all!  I decided to play with my stamps today.  I bought a few stamps a few months ago and I never used them.  Here is the card I made:

Recipe: Card base is Kraft from Paper Trey Ink cut in a square 5.5 by 5.5".  The main stamped image is from Penny Black's Tiny Wishes and the sentiment is from Hot Off The Press' Matching Borders & Focals.  I colored the image using my Copics  I used an oval cutter to cut it out and Old Paper distress ink to distress it.  I used Basic Grey's Hopscotch line for the patterned paper and the ribbon doilies.  The mini brads are from Making Memories,

I had fun making this card.  I am entering it in two challenges - Birthday Sundaes Challenge #46, Birthday Card With Sentiment and My Creative Time Throwback Cricutless Challenge.

Thanks for visiting!  Have a great day!

Thank you card using Kate ABCs

I am on a roll tonight. I also made this card for a great friend who treated me to a Broadway Show earlier this week.

I love this image from Kate's ABCs. It is one of the main reasons I bought this cartridge.

Recipe: A2 standard landscape card cut using Kraft cardstock from Recollections (I seem to be addicted to using Kraft as my base lately). I made the background using Pink by Design Cloudy Day background stamp and Tumbled Glass distressed ink from Tim Holtz. I used Pearl glimmer mist on it as well. I cut the image at 3.75" and used leftover scraps from different companies to cut the image. I used my Skin White Copic to color white paper for the face, hands and legs. I used another Pink by Design stamp from a stamp of the month set for the sentiment. I used a border stamp from My Mind's Eye Stella & Rose stamp set inked in So Saffron from Stampin Up and made a tag out of it. I used my Prismacolor pencils to make grass blades and put some distressed stickles in Forest Moss at the bottom for texture.

I am entering this card in two challenges: Celebrate the Occasion challenge #51 and Scrappy Mom's "Tag Your It" challenge.

Thank you for visiting!

Best Friends Cartridge

Hello All! I am proud to say this is my second  post in a week. I am keeping my promise, yay! I recently bought the Best Friends Imagine cartridge and wanted to play with it.

Recipe: A2 standard card cut the long way out of Kraft cardstock from Recollections. I cut the frame out at 5.5" and the Princess out at 4". I used a piece of patterned paper from a DCWV Christmas stack to fill in the frame. I punched a few butterflies using my Martha Stewart the butterfly punch. I put two buttons in the center of two flowers and a rhinestone in the middle of the blue flower. I used Crystal stickles on the tiara and the neck and hem of her dress. I did faux stitching with a white gel pen. Happy Birthday is from a Teeny Tiny Words stamp set.

I am pleased with the way this card turned out. I love my Imagine - it does all the work for you. I still love picking paper but sometimes it is so nice to just select an image then hit print & cut. I am entering this card in CardzTv "A Stitch In Time" Challenge 102. I think this card is a great fit for the challenge. Thanks for checking out my card! Have a great weekend!

MY Valentine's Day Card

Hello Blog World! I haven't posted in so long.  I've been traveling off and on for the military since December. I got back and had to take care of my personal life. I am now in a place to create again - I think. LOL! I made this Valentine's Day Card and wanted to share it:

Recipe: A2 standard card base using Stampin Up Regal Rose. Stampin Designer paper from last year.  Gina K's cardstock cut using Spellbinder's Nestabilities' Large Label. Stamp is Bildmalarna Tossa heart stamp and I colored it with Copics. I used my irock to give her earrings and put a few in the flower centers. I used my Martha Stewart confetti heart punch to decorate the inside of the card and for the heart on the front of the card. I used a dollar Michael's stamp for the inside sentiment and ribbon from my stash. I am entering this card in Celebrate The Occasion's Challenge #50.

Thank you for looking and I hope to start posting more now that I am back. Take care!
