Christmas Themed Throwback Challenge

Good Morning Everyone!  I am so happy it is Friday.  It has been a long week for me!  I've been sick so I haven't been able to do much.  I am starting to feel better so I decided to enter Emma's challenge for this week.  The rules are to make a Christmas themed card using Celebrations cartridge.  I went home and opened up the booklet to see what I could come up with.  I decided to use the hat tag shift image on page 47 and turn the party hat into a Christmas tree!.  I cut it out at 5 1/2".  I also cut out the star on page 51 (the shift image) at 2".  I used Elmer's 3D glue in gold to fill in the lines to look like tinsel and I used Diamond stickles on the star.  It is popped up on foam tape.

I also used red card stock from stampin up (I can't remember its name but it was in the brights last year), paper from Basic Grey's Eskimo Kisses 6X6 pack and basic white card stock.  I embossed the greeting with Martha Stewart's gold embossing powder and cut it out using a scalloped paper edger.

All in all, I think it came out cute for a project I made so quickly.  So this is my entry.  I hope others take on the challenge and visit Emma's website.

Take care and thank you for stopping by!

  1. Oh that tree is too cute. I think you used the same star on top of your tree that I used! :)
