I can't believe it is the middle of June! This year is flying by. In honor of Father's Day, challenge #79 on Cricut Cardz Challenge is to make a Father's Day card using any cart and color scheme you like. I made a few cards to give out and here is one of my favorites:
I have been using pretty much the same colors all week - it is what is on my messy desk at the moment, lol. Plus, I like to use up my scraps. This is a 5" X 5" card cut from Paper Trey Ink Kraft cardstock. I believe the scalloped square ( SU Mellow Moss) is from Accent Essential cut at 5"; I don't have my Gypsy with me today to tell you for sure. I also inked the edges with Bundled Sage distress ink. I cut the hammer and screw driver from Boys will Be Boys at 4", including the circle background using the orange, yellow and silver found in this weeks projects. I got the Mr. Fix it Stamp from the dollar bin at AC Moore. I stamped it in SU Summer Sun. If you've been reading my blog, I am a huge stickles person so even though it is a man card, I had to use stickles! I used Mustard Seed Distressed Stickles on the screw driver. I honestly think I have every color of stickles made, LOL.
So that is my card. I am giving it to my step dad because he is truly a Mr. Fix it. If we have a problem or something needs to be done, he is the man to go to. If you have a great card you made, this is a great challenge to enter it in as there are no restrictions. I hope everyone has a great Father's Day with the special fathers in their lives. Happy crafting!
Very nicely done, this is just perfect for the father figure in your life, thanks so much for joining CCC!
