Cardztv Cupcake Challenge

Hello Crafters!  Can you believe two posts in two days?  I am trying to live up to my goals to be more active, lol.  I saw yesterday that Mary from Cardz TV has a cupcake challenge this week.  I love cupcakes - to eat and to use in card making!  So I went home last night and after I put the baby to bed I put the card together.  I designed it on my gypsy on my way home from work to save time.  Here it is:

Recipe: Base is chocolate chip by Stampin Up cut to a 4" by 9" card (to fit a business envelope). Matte is cut to 3.75" by 8.75" and it is a light yellow with darker yellow circles.  The cake plate is cut at 2", all cupcakes measure 2.5".  I ran the brown frosting pieces through my cuttlebug using the divine swirl folder and with the blue I used Swiss dots.  I faux stitched the hearts, accented the embossed area with a white gel pen and added stardust stickles (my absolute favorite).  I also used broken china distressed stickles on the cake plate rim.  I inked around the wrappers of the cupcakes so they could stand out and chalked the little lines as well.  Last but not least, I used epoxy stickers from K & Company to spell out Sweet.

I love this card.  It was so much fun to make using all the little tricks to make it pop.  I hope you like it.  I also hope you try your hand at making any type of project as long as it uses a cupcake and entering Mary's challenge.  It can be stamped or cut so this isn't limited to just us cricut users. Have a great day!  Thank you in advance if you leave a comment ;-)!
