Happy New Year and MPS Color Challenge

Happy New Year everyone!  This year is off to a busy start in both my professional and personal worlds.  At least we made it through another hectic holiday season!  One of my resolutions for this year is to really get into this blogging thing, lol.  I started it, now I must keep up with it.

My Pink Stamper is adding two new people to her design team!  While I know the odds are against me because there are so many of you who are way more talented than I and have been doing this a long time, I still had to try.  It is a color challenge to use pink, green and brown (her favorite color combo) along with any other color you choose to make any type of project.  of course I chose a card because that is all I can accomplish these days, haha.

I bought another Winter Solutions cartridge - Gingerbread - because I won it for super cheap on ebay!  I love when that happens.  The recipe is as follows: pink cs from Michaels, green patterned paper from DCWV Nana's Nursery for boys, white cs from Michaels and some brown in my scrap stash.
I cut the house at 3 1/2 inches and same for the icing.  The snow I cut free handed and I used icicle stickles (I thought is was an appropriate choice :-)) on both the snow and the icing.  I printed the sentiment out on my computer and cut with cloud paper edgers then matted on the same brown cs and cut that with pinking edgers.  Super simple as I usually need it to be...

It is doubtful that I will make it but I had to give it a try and I always love her challenges and try to participate when I can.  I like the color challenges - it takes you away from your comfort zone.  The challenge closes midnight tonight so if you have the time, hop to it!  Have a great day and thanks for reading!
