Blue and White - what a combo!

Happy Friday fellow crafters! I am so happy Friday is here. One of my close childhood friend's just celebrated a birthday and she is having a get together tomorrow, so I had to make her a card. Her favorite color is baby blue. Celebrate The Occasion challenge #23 is to make a card for any occasion using the colors - you guessed it, blue and white! What a match made is crafty heaven, lol. Here's my card:

My friend is a 70's chick at heart so Groovy Times was a no brainer. I chose the dress and cut it and all its layers at 3" and the boots at 2". It is an A2 size card. Base cardstock is a scrap, the white is Recollections and the polka dot is from Echo Park's- Dots & Stripes Candy Shoppe 6X6 pad. My sentiments are from Scrappy Moms' Sweet Somethings (Sweet & Sassy) and Simple Sentiments (Happy Happy Birthday). I stamped using Stampin Up's Night of Navy. I added Star Dust Stickles to the platform of the boots and the hem of the dress and sleeves. I used my I-rock and added bling to the hanger. I had trouble cutting out the hanger on the dress so I added the shadow and it needed something, lol.

So that is my card and I hope my friend likes it. Please check out CTO and play along if you can; you have until Sunday 11:59pm to enter. Have a great weekend.
