Birthday Surprise

Good Morning everyone!
I hope you are having a good week. My best friend's son's birthday is this weekend. I am super excited because she is having it at a bouncy house and I think my two year old will really enjoy it. I made a card for the birthday boy a couple of weeks ago but it didn't excite me, so I made him another one. This one I like:

Recipe: Card base is Stampin Up Bermuda Bay cut to 5" X 7". I cut a 2.5" X 7" strip of white CS and stamped the background using Hero Arts Cling Dots with Only Orange ink. I used black velvet ribbon to blend the strip into the card. I cut my images using Birthday Bash Cricut Cartridge. I cut the presents at 4" and the mouse in the present at 3.5". I just used my white gel pen to add some faux stitching - I resisted the stickles temptation since it is going to a boy, lol. I did use scraps of the shimmery CS that I used in my last card so there is some shine. All other CS are from Recollections. I stamped a Scrappy Moms sentiment in Only Orange and hand wrote happy birthday on the little tag that cut out with the presents.

I like the bright cheery colors since her son is turning four. I am entering it into Birthday Sundaes challenge #29, Ribbon Birthday Card. As the name implies, ribbon must be used on your card and a birthday type sentiment as well. The challenge ends at 11:59 pm on Saturday. Happy Crafting!

PS - Thank you, as always, for your lovely comments. I really appreciate it! It is such a nice feeling to know someone likes what I make. :-)
