Hello crafters! I know, I know - I've fallen of the crafting wagon again, lol. At least a full month hasn't gone by. I've been enjoying summer with the family. I do keep up with the challenges though and Cricut Cardz Challenge #83 inspired me to make a card. The challenge is to make a card for a grandparent using any cartridge or colors you like. I chose Cindy Loo.
Recipe: Base is 4.25 by 5.50 using white Recollections cardstock. I cut Frame 12 from Cindy Loo at 3.5" out of sage Shadow by Stampin Up. I cut the flourish out of Pretty in Pink. I used my white gel pen on the frame and Cotton Candy Stickles on the flourish. I cut patterned cardstock from DCWV's Luxury Stack at 4 X 5.25. I placed the frame where I wanted it to be on the patterned CS and cut out a rectangle using an Exacto knife so the white could show through. I punched out butterflies using a Martha Stewart punch on the cut out rectangle and used the same Stickles to make their flight swirl (not sure what you call it so I am going with flight swirl, lol). I stamped Happy Birthday from a Paper Studio stamp set.
Super simple card but I think it turned out pretty and my grandmother would love it. I think the older generation sometimes prefer simple over bells and whistles. So that is my card. Please check out the challenge; you have until Tuesday, 7/19 midnight to get your project in. Enjoy!
Very pretty, love your flourish, it adds the perfect touch, thanks so much for joining CCC!
